Running with a Passion

with I Run For Movement

A local Encinitas based business

Some of us run every day. Some of us walk. Some of us do it because we love moving our bodies, want to stay healthy, or need a little motivation. Hand raised.

Meet I Run for Movement, created by local entrepreneurs and avid community motivators Carly and Brian Graham. They’re also the founders of Night Nation, one of the funnest run events in the country: part run, part party, part philanthropic effort, with proceeds supporting cancer research.

Their newest concept, I Run for Movement, makes participating even easier. No fixed event date. No stage. No pressure to show up at a certain place at a certain time. Just a cause, a goal, and your own two feet (or group of feet, hell invite your friends).

“Many people want to run or walk for a cause or to get motivated but can’t make a certain event. This gets people going and helps them participate in a cause or gets them outside. We all want to live a healthy lifestyle and this gives us something to work for on our own time.”

There’s also swag, medals, and gear to mark the effort, with shirts, tanks, and sweatshirts stamped with phrases like “Stay Weird,” “Corks Are for Quitters,” and “I Run to End Cancer.” With more than 30 options, there’s bound to be one worth sweating for.

Challenge yourself, grab a friend, or coordinate with people near and far.
